WHAT'S NEW

MRC Golf - Press Release - For Immediate Release

- MRC Press Release - July 29, 2010

Wow, could it be? Is the third major championship of the season behind us already? With both the Tour and golfing season moving along swiftly, we'd like to take this opportunity to congratulate our hard working staff for their success on Tour and at the 2010 Majors. While we are at it we might as well provide you with one last tour update before the summer selling season is gone!

How would I summarize our performance at this year's Majors? One word, dominant! In fact with our performance at this year's Masters, US Open, and British Open it should be clearer than ever that when the best-of-the-best play, Mitsubishi Rayon shafts rise to the top.

Just how dominant have we been during the 2010 Major Championships? Nearly 25% of the field at this year's first three Majors were playing Mitsubishi Rayon Graphite Shafts in their drivers. Not only that, but in each of the three Majors at least 20% of the field were playing at least one Mitsubishi Rayon wood shaft.

And don't look now, but our three newest profiles (Diamana Kai'li, Diamana 'ilima, and Fubuki Alpha) are gaining traction quickly. At The British Open we had more than 15 pieces of the new shaft profiles in play and that's a trend we see continuing as the season moves towards its fourth and final Major. If you haven't yet tried our newest Diamana and Fubuki profiles now would be a good time.

Both the Diamana Kai'li and Diamana 'ilima incorporate Mitsubishi Rayon's Multi-Dimensional Interlay technology (M.D.I) designed to help us strategically layer sheets of ultra-thin carbon fiber throughout the length of each shaft, controlling stiffness and stability with amazing accuracy. M.D.I. technology maximizes both profiles ability to store and release energy, while reinforcing stability and control.

The latest Fubuki Shaft, Alpha, released in Spring of this year incorporates Mitsubishi Rayon's proprietary "Acceleration Technology" to maximize head speed. This technology combined with the Fubuki Series signature M.D.T tip technology delivers the patented high launch/low spin characteristics associated the Fubuki Brand in one of today's hottest profiles on the US and European Tours.

As mentioned, all three profiles are gaining traction on Tour and for that matter at many of the best retail fitting facilities in the country. If you haven't yet taken the time to learn about these new shaft offerings be sure to contact your sales representative so you can become part of one of the hottest shafts on the shaft market!

Thank you again for your continued support and have a great rest of the summer.
