The Next Generation Diamana Series Wood Shafts with MDI Technology

Carlsbad, CA - (January, 25^th 2010) – MRC GOLF, INC. introduces Diamana Kai’li and ‘ilima, the newest profiles in the Next Generation Diamana Series. Diamana Kai’li and ‘ilima build on the original, tour-proven Diamana Series that’s amassed more than 80 official US TOUR Driver Shaft Wins over the past six years, including nine Major Championships¹. The Next Generation Diamana Series incorporates a revolutionary patent pending technology called Multi-Dimensional Interlay (MDI).

MDI Technology is a proprietary process unique to Mitsubishi Rayon. By strategically layering sheets of ultra-thin carbon fiber in different directions throughout the entire shaft, we can precisely control lateral and torsional stiffness and stability with amazing accuracy. MDI provides a shaft with maximum resilience when storing and releasing energy, while reinforcing it for stability and control -- and with a precision never previously available.

Diamana Kai'li (kī-lē)
The Diamana Kai'li incorporates MDI Technology into the original Diamana Blue Board smooth bend profile with a slightly stiffer tip and butt section design. The result is a lower torque shaft that provides the same versatility as the original profile, while delivering more stability and control, with slightly lower launch and spin.

Diamana 'ilima (il-ē-ma)
Diamana ‘ilima incorporates MDI Technology into a new bend profile for the Diamana Series. It features an active, low-torque tip section, with a stiff mid-section and moderate butt section. The result is a shaft that dynamically promotes energy transfer throughout the swing, while delivering a penetrating ball flight with low spin.

Diamana Kai'li and 'ilima were introduced as prototypes on the US TOUR in late 2009 and have quickly grown in popularity on the US TOUR, European Tour, US LADIES Tour and other professional golf tours worldwide. In late 2009, Diamana Kai’li secured its first official driver shaft win on the European Tour.

Pricing & Availability
The new Diamana Kai’li and ‘ilima will be officially launched in the U.S. at the upcoming 2010 PGA Merchandise Show in Orlando, FL (January 28-30, 2010), and will be available through MRC GOLF Authorized Retailers and Dealers nationwide.
